What is Voice Intelligence?
Voice intelligence is the analysis layer that turns recorded phone conversations into structured data: transcripts, summaries, sentiment, topics, outcomes and compliance flags that teams can search and report on.
Also known as: conversation intelligence, call intelligence
What it captures
After a call, the audio is transcribed and analysed. Typical outputs are a summary, the caller's intent, sentiment shifts, objections raised, whether required statements were read, and a disposition such as booked or escalated. Because the output is structured, it can feed dashboards and CRM fields instead of sitting in an audio archive nobody listens to.
Voice intelligence versus speech analytics
The terms overlap heavily. Speech analytics is the older name from contact-centre software, usually applied to human agents' recorded calls. Voice intelligence tends to describe the same analysis built into an AI-agent platform, where the data also improves the agent's own scripts.
Example
A lender notices from call tags that most 'not now' answers on EMI reminders mention salary dates. They move reminder calls to two days after the typical payday. No one had to listen to hundreds of calls to see it.
